Pink and Leather

Pink Blouse & Heels | c/o My mom, Jeans | Guess, Leather bag | c/o Wholesale-dress

My mom is pretty much the exact same size as I am, which most of you can guess just means that I get to raid her closet for vintage pieces all the time! I love her, she always let's me wear whatever I find. The latest piece I found is this unique soft blouse/blazer in the back of her closet. I thought the color was so pretty, so I decided to wear it out. One of my friends told me it compliments my skin tone ( Thank you Nga) :) I start summer classes next week, so I'm just trying to enjoy this week as much as I can. I have some plans lined up and a surprise to share with you guys soon, so stay tuned!

Lisa

Leather Black Wedges

Leather wedges | Forever 21

I just wanted to show you guys my new leather wedges! I've been looking everywhere for a pair of affordable leather wedges and I finally found them. These are from Forever 21 and they are really comfortable. I am a size 7.5 but I bought these in a size 8, because Forever 21 doesn't carry half sizes. I kind of bought these on a whim because I've been trying to find some affordable leather wedges, but felt discouraged from looking at the steep prices from other shoe stores. These wedges (at around $30) sounded perfect for me.

Hope you are all having a fantastic week.

Love,
Lisa

Black and White

Peter pan Collar top | Sunglasses | Ray-bans,  F21, Jeggings |De masque, Cut out wedges | c/o OASAP

Black and white is such a classic and simple color combination that I find myself pairing together a lot.  The Peter pan collar top and the cut out wedges gave this outfit a little more trendy/urban flare than the average blouse and leggings look. I just got these cut out wedges that I adore. Most of my followers know I'm always on the lookout for comfortable heels and wedges, and I'm really excited to tell you all that I'm adding these OASAP wedges to the list. I wore them out from 7pm-11:30pm for a friend's birthday party and my feet weren't hurting AT ALL. I'm really happy with them.

In other news, I've been painting my nails red a lot lately. My mom's friend just gave us some OPI nail polishes, and my favorite so far is called Crimson Carol, which is the color I have on in the photos. I find the color red to be so classic and they go so perfectly with black and/or white outfits. I guess when all else fails, go for the red nail polish!

I'm really enjoying this nice Cali summer weather, I hope you all are enjoying summer as well!

Lisa

Sapphire City

Sapphire City Top | c/o Sugarlips Apparel , Pants | DeMasque, Platform Heels | Kimchi Blue

I don't often wear blue, but when I do, I wear sapphire blue. If any of you are familiar with 'the most interesting man' , that was a lame Dos equis joke. This gorgeous top on the other hand, is amazing. I got it from the L.A. based clothing company Sugarlips Apparel. Like I said, I don't wear a lot of blues/purple colors but this top is really making me reconsider what I have in my wardrobe.

When I saw it for the first time, the one thing that grabbed my attention was the gradual cropped high-low effect of the shirt. It was a smooth transition of fabric from the middle to the outer edge. I also liked that it was oversized, but the one thing about that is, be sure to get one size down or else it might be too oversized for you. I paired this oversized flowy top with a pair of black leggings and my current favorite heels. I decided to wear this top to my friend's birthday party and I'm sure it will work out nicely. The relaxed fit is perfect for a night of dining and dancing. Like most of you college kids, I finally finished all of my finals so it is officially the start of my summer.

Happy Summer!

Love,
Lisa

Up Against The Wall

Clubmaster Ray-Bans//gift from Kevin, Green Parka+ Tan Button Up//Old Navy, Oxfords+Belt//F2, Necklace//H&M

Who remembers that *Nsync song "Up Against the Wall"? I remember my nine year old self being so obsessed with Nsync, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees. The 90's pop era was awesome, that's all I'm going to say. Here is a cool funky, yet casual outfit I put together. I wore my high waisted jeans, a tan button up, beige oxfords, and my beloved olive green colored parka. I really adore this jacket. I bought it when I was vacationing in Socal back in the winter time. I think it was the best $11 dollars I spent there. I wanted to jazz up the outfit a little bit more by adding one of my most favorite H&M necklaces and of course, my clubmasters, because it was so warm and sunny.

Have a great day guys!

Love,
Lisa

Weekly Wants #12

High Waisted Shorts

H&M high waisted shorts, £15
Miss Selfridge high waisted shorts, $26
Topshop high waisted shorts, $30
Miss Selfridge high waisted shorts, $26
Something Else short shorts, £85
Angel Eye pink shorts, £25

Happy Saturday Girls!

Look at these lovely warm toned high waisted shorts. I've always been more drawn to warm tones because I think it goes well with my light skin and brown hair color. More specifically, I've been trying to find a perfect pair of high waisted beige or salmon colored shorts, but have had no luck. I would order them online, but I really want to try them on first. Finding these affordable cute shorts on Polyvore was easy, but finding them in the actual store is another story. I guess my quest to find my perfect salmon colored shorts lives on!

Where do you girls buy your high waisted shorts?

Lisa

Days Go By

Blazer & Leather Bracelet | H&M, Tank top, Maxi Skirt | Forever 21, Watch | Michael Kors, Platform Heels | Kimchi Blue

The days are going by so fast! I know I keep saying that, but it's hard for me to believe! Just knowing that summer is just around the corner instantly makes me happy. Does it have the same effect on all of you too? The warm light of the sun just feels great (remember to wear sunscreen though!). I haven't made any plans yet, but I'm sure this summer is going to be amazing. I get to see friends I haven't seen in awhile and I get to go places that I've been too busy to go to.

I thought I would show you guys what I wore for my anniversary date with my boyfriend. This blazer and maxi skirt combination was kind of an accident, because I couldn't find any of my cardigans, but I think it turned out well! This is my first time wearing my platform heels from my weekly want #9. They are so incredibly c-o-m-f-o-r-t-a-b-l-e. I'm probably going to wear them more often now that I have realized this.

What do you guys have planned for the summer? Let me know! Maybe it'll give me some ideas too.

Love,
Lisa

P.S. If any of you were wondering, yes this is the outfit from the last post (we shot both posts in the same day).

Anjolee Solid Diamond Journey Necklace Review

(My photo taken under natural light)

I was contacted by Anjolee: The Art of Jewelry company to review this beautiful diamond journey necklace with you guys. According to their website, Anjolee "was founded in 1977 as a high-end jewelry manufacturer. The company originally started selling its products to wholesalers and retail stores and quickly gained recognition as the leading manufacturer of high-end diamond jewelry. Anjolee’s product line has expanded throughout the years and includes an extensive collection of bridal jewelry, rings, diamond bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and pendants" (Anjolee).

My Personal Experience
Anjolee's website offers jewelry that you can customize to your own preference! They have diamond necklace, anniversary band, and diamond engagement rings, and so much more. It was actually really fun for me to choose different versions of the same item, choosing whether I want gold, white gold, or platinum, how many cts. I want, and the length that I want it to be. It gets your creativity going when you have so many options you can choose. I think the huge plus side to being able to choose the carat and the finish you want is that you get to control the price of your piece of jewelry. This would be perfect for couples who are ready to purchase their weddings rings/bands! You'll be able to customize it however you want!

(My photo taken under natural light)

The Product
The solid diamond journey necklace came in a beautiful shiny wooden box. The necklace itself was this beautiful shiny silver and the diamonds glistened against the sun. I chose this design because I have always loved journey pendants. It is such a classic piece that will go well with any special occasion outfit.
(Product Picture from Anjolee's website)

If you are shopping around for some jewelry, check out Anjolee! Play around with the customizations on their site! For me, it was fun seeing the price change up and down according to my preferences. I thought that was so neat. Hope you guys give it a try!

Love,
Lisa

Weekly Wants #11

Bustiers and Wedges

Don t Ask Amanda bustier top, $30
Bustier corset top, $26
Bustier shirt, $50
Steve Madden wedge shoes, $90
Wedge heel shoes, £30

Is it May already?! Time just flies by these days. To open the new month, I'm starting it with a new Weekly Wants. I've been seeing bustiers and corsets everywhere lately and they're not just worn under clothes, they're actually worn as tops. I think they look exceptionally good with a pair of high waisted shorts or trousers. For the top, I think layering it under a cardigan, blazer, or sheer top works best. As you can see, that is what has inspired my #11th Weekly Wants. These bustiers are perfect for pairing with sheer chiffon tops (which are my all time favorites). I'm also in love with wedges right now, that's all I've really been shopping for lately.

What are you girls currently wanting (fashion/beauty wise)? I'd love to hear!

Love,
Lisa
