Knit Sweaters and Gold Chains

I just went shopping over the weekend. I went to Old Navy and I managed to snag two knit sweaters for really cheap and I got both of those chain necklaces while at the flea market for $2 each. I really like the stud design on the brassy necklace. I don't own anything like it, so when I saw it I knew I had to get it.  It's really nice and adds a little edgy-ness to my knit sweaters.

Coffee Break

We just finished our first week of classes and the workload is already rolling in. Kevin felt like we needed some time to just relax and enjoy each other's company so we went to get some coffee at a cafe that we've never been to. I didn't try anything too crazy, just a regular latte and Kevin got an egg and cheese bagel for us to share. I encourage you guys to take a break from going to chain coffee places like Starbucks and Peets and try a local cafe or mom&pop shop that you've never been to. You might be pleasantly surprised...as we were.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Forever 21: Jewelry Haul

Happy Thursday everybody! On Monday I went shopping with my friend Charisse in the city and I picked up some of these cute necklaces at Forever 21. Seriously, if you are looking for trendy jewelry on a budget, go to Forever 21. I spent around $17 dollars for all 3 of these.

Weekly Wants #2

Hey guys, this is the second edition of my weekly wants. This week I am featuring items from Madewell, Urban Outfitters, and Forever 21. I'm really missing my warm weather and I think that is what influenced this week's items. I especially love the last top from Forever 21. It's really pretty and feminine, which is one of the styles I adore. Just click on the pictures and it will direct you to the link.

Collar Inspirations

I've been so fascinated with the Collar trend. I keep seeing these unique collars resurfacing on sites such as Lookbook, Tumblr, and Polyvore. It kind of got my creative juices flowing and inspired me to try and make some of my own. I'll share with you my own collar creations in a future post (possibly a DIY post?).  Here are some of the ones that caught my eye.

*I apologize, I don't know where these pictures came from because I found them all on Tumblr.

What do you guys think of the collar trend? I would love to know!

Cold Temperatures

Clothes I have on: Jacket-Old Navy//Scarf-Forever 21//Boots- Steve Madden

It's been so cold these past couple of days, but honestly, I don't mind. I see it as just a great excuse to wear a lot of layers. Like I've said in a previous post, scarves are one of my all-time favorite accessories. Knitted scarves, silk scarves, etc., there is a style for everybody and for any weather as well. Kevin and I had to go to the city to run some errands the other day so we decided to get some lunch at one of our favorite spots. We shared a really delicious antipasto, then for an entree he got a flat iron steak and I got the garlic butter chicken. So delicious.

Biryani House

I'm the kind of person that loves to try different types of foods from all around the world. I'm pretty sure by the time I hit 50, I would have tried food from almost every culture (Or I would like to!). I find it exciting to step out of my comfort zone and try something I could never even think of making at home. I went on a date with Kevin last week and we went to the farmers market and chose to eat at this Indian restaurant. This is my second time trying Indian food and I loved it. Naan is so delicious, especially garlic naan!

Biryani House provides a very casual dining experience and they serve really good Chicken Tikka Masala (my favorite!). What I love about Indian food is that it tastes like comfort food. All of the flavors and spices in every dish really make you feel nice and warm inside. Not to mention it could probably clear up your sinuses if you were ever feeling sick.

Which type of food should we try next? Let me know if you guys have any suggestions!

Weekly Wants #1

Hi loves,

I have been inspired after reading Girlie Blogger's latest post! Starting this week, I'll be adding a new segment to my blog called Weekly Wants. The title is self explanatory, I'll be posting what I'm currently lusting over for the week. The majority of the items I post will probably be things I find at my usual favorite stores and deals/sales that I want to share with everybody. So here it goes!

*Clicking on the picture will lead you to the item on the website!

All of my deals this week I found at Urban Outfitters.

Happy Shopping everybody!

Gray Skies

Here is my look for today. I kept it pretty casual with a loose fitting gray sweater and my jeggings because I knew I was going to be doing a lot of walking today. Jeggings and leggings are heaven sent for me. I get to look put together while also feeling extremely comfortable.

I hope you guys had a great day. After I got home, I just watched the rest of the 49ers vs. the Saints game with Kevin. Nice to see some glory come out of the Bay Area.

Jason Wu x Target!

I'm so excited for this collection! I've been looking through websites to get a sneak peek at some of the pieces and I am so happy to say that all of Jason's designs look PHENOMENAL. I must say, I think he did a fantastic job designing these pieces for Target. In an interview he did with the NY Times, Jason says that, "[m]y goal was not to duplicate anything from my main collection... Instead I designed completely new clothes and accessories that reflect my taste and have a voice of their own" (Huffington Post). In my opinion, the clothes are flirty, feminine, very chic, and most importantly very wearable. Here are some of my favorites!

See you guys at Target on February 5th!

P.S. Speaking of affordable fashion, my friend Kyle made a great post on money saving tips that you can follow. He even added one used by yours truly. Check it out here: http://ad-1nfinitum.blogspot.com/2012/01/15-money-saving-tips.html?showComment=1326441342203#c8110956058270675296

Sushi and Ice Cream

Hey guys,
I went out with Kevin and my brothers today. Ever since the socal trip, we've been craving sushi, so sushi is what we got. I took some quick outfit photos and then we went off to Geta Sushi. We had a whole bunch of rolls and we were all so hungry that I forgot to take pictures of some of the rolls before digging in. After sushi, we went to our local ice creamery and got some ice cream. With a tummy filled with delicious sushi and ice cream, I would say today was an awesome day.

I hope everybody is had a good day as well!

My Roadtrip to SoCal

Hey there,

I just got back home from my week long trip so I thought I would share it through pictures instead of just talking about it. I had an amazing time and got to cross a lot of things off the ol' bucket list including exploring Hollywood, trying out new delicious food, and going to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. This was a great way for me and my friends to start off the new year! I really hope you guys are having/had fun this winter break! I have two more weeks left of break and then classes are back in session, so live it up everybody. It's a new year, so let's continue to make it a good one.

Love,
Lisa
