Bustiers and Wedges

Is it May already?! Time just flies by these days. To open the new month, I'm starting it with a new Weekly Wants. I've been seeing bustiers and corsets everywhere lately and they're not just worn under clothes, they're actually worn as tops. I think they look exceptionally good with a pair of high waisted shorts or trousers. For the top, I think layering it under a cardigan, blazer, or sheer top works best. As you can see, that is what has inspired my #11th Weekly Wants. These bustiers are perfect for pairing with sheer chiffon tops (which are my all time favorites). I'm also in love with wedges right now, that's all I've really been shopping for lately.

What are you girls currently wanting (fashion/beauty wise)? I'd love to hear!

  2. Oh man! Lisa! I actually have been kinda wanting a bustier too! It is just too easy to put one on and look so incredibly feminine and not much else is needed to complete the look, really. I want one but I haven't been looking around much for one. I will have to check out the ones you listed because they seem to be pretty affordable!

    I think they look great with skirts. Just those two items can make a look!

    Last week I was at Urban Outfitters and they had wedges similar (I think similar, but my memory escapes me at the moment) to those Steve Madden ones. They were a wooden sole and suede fabric. Came in lavender, black, and brown and they were having an extra 50% off on top of the clearance price! They were $15!!!! However... they didn't fit me so I didn't get them :( But I should go back and check for you!

    1. Josie I'll check out Urban for them! $15 dollars is dirt cheap! And I would much rather pay for that then 90 for the Steve Maddens!

    2. yesss!! The original price was $60 I think! Actually.. okay I am a loser. I just thought of the idea to see if it's on the website and it is but not on clearance and.. I'm so embarrassed. lol.. They look nothing like the Steve Madden ones!! lol

  3. hi, lisa! hope your week is going well so far. yes, time flies, doesn't it? wait 'til you have kids... the days zoom by before you get a chance to blink, lol! i love wedges. it's simple but yet adds style w/o much effort. :) i would totally wear bustiers if i were in my 20s.... but i feel too old wearing one at this age in my life. maybe to the beach! love your picks, lisa.

    1. Hey Jasmine! I use to babysit my little cousins in the summer, and it would be crazy how fast they grow and fast that summer went by for me lol. Kids really do keep you busy ALL DAY. I think you would look great with a bustier, you can wear it under a blazer and make it look more professional! :)

  5. I've been really tempted to try a bustier...haha I really like that pink and zippered one here.
    And of course, who doesn't love wedges? :) They're my favorite shoe!
