Maxi Skirts


At the moment, I have been so in love with maxi skirts! They're pretty, flowy, and soft texture makes it perfect for the spring/summer time. To be honest, for the longest time, I thought I couldn't wear maxis because I'm short, but I noticed so many people at my university wearing it, and some of them were even my height! From then on, I went out searching for the perfect maxi skirt. To my surprise, I bought one at Forever 21, and realized that it looked great on me! Why was I so quick to disregard something when I didn't even try it on yet? Now whenever I'm about to try something new and I'm uncomfortable with it, I just say to myself, "Don't diss it, until you try it".  Here is the picture with my first maxi skirt

    I really like the ones you posted! And I love the photo of you wearing your first!! Aww, very adorable! The color is so pretty!

    I totally agree with your logic. I try not to but I seriously think there are somethings I can't pull off. And it's so funny because I feel like Maxi skirts and maxi dresses are the same for me. I am tall(er) but I feel like it would look weird on me. I was JUST telling Jenna that today (at Marshalls, lol). I really want to buy a maxi dress but on the fence. They seem great to just slip in and go..!

    1. I think you would look beautiful in a maxi skirt/dress! Just try it on first, that's what fitting rooms are made for right? :) It makes me a feel more girly wearing one because I'm so use to jeans or leggings! lol

  5. You wear it so well! Love how you styled it with the rest of the outfit. Maxi skirts are a trend that I've wanted to try, I've not found the right one for me though. But the ones you picked out are all gorgeous.

      My best advice for you is to go to the store, grab all three of them and try them on! If you want, try on a simple maxi skirt first, then if you like that, then get into the more interesting asymmetrical cut skirts. Hope this helps! :)

  13. Maxi skirts have been my go-to this spring! So fun and flowy but most importantly- comfy! I know the feeling too, I'm just barely over 5'1" but I couldn't help but buy one. Then it led to buying two more... and I have my eye on another ;) I love that you styled yours with a loose cardigan.

  21. haha I used to dislike maxis too, but they do look lovely when worn! I think they can actually elongate your figure. haha I had the opposite problem- a couple of maxi skirts I ordered from Asian websites were too short and cut off above my ankles and looked a bit odd.
    the colour of your maxi is just gorgeous btw! :)

    1. I found that it elongates the figure after I wore mines! If you have a Forever 21 near you, they are really cheap and just the right length!
